Homecoming Sing on Wed. was the time for University of Wyoming students to shine on stage with their singing and dancing abilities. With different themes and groups participating, this annual homecoming event was certainly one of the most unique events of the week.

Participants included university Greek Life, Recognized Student Organizations (RSOs) and other groups of university students. The main coordinators of Homecoming Sing are the Iron Skull, the oldest organization on campus.  Iron Skull is a service and grade based organization for junior standing students based around community service. Homecoming sing is one of their most popular events throughout the year.

According to Iron Skull President Willa Donley, this year’s crowd was a great turn out. Donley wanted to give a huge thanks to the Laramie community for donating prize money that would go to the winners of the event.

The winners of Homecoming Sing competition this year was the co-ed team comprised of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity and the Alpha Phi sorority. The winning number was a Hawaiin themed song about the university’s resident football team.

Alpha Phi freshmen Janessa Miller described her experience as a great way to bring Greek life together and bring passion to the project in a fun way.

Coming in a close second was the girls of the Tri Delta sorority with a Disney mashup, followed by the musical band of Baby Got Fret. All groups performed with poke pride and helped represent their community is a fun way.
