A statement from the Branding Iron

On Friday, Jan. 27, the Branding Iron team published an article titled “Wyoming Bans Abortion pills.” After considerable backlash regarding the title of the article, the Branding Iron Editorial team reviewed comments and concerns.

We agreed with readers and deemed the original title to be misleading and incorrect. We have since revised the title online to more accurately reflect the story by titling it, “Wyoming considers banning chemical abortion.”

We would like to thank our readership for calling out our mistake and asking for a correction. Furthermore, we would also like to apologize for titling an important news story in an overly sensationalized and misleading way.

At the Branding Iron, we strive to publish factual and important information that can be used as a resource by the entire University of Wyoming community. We will continue to listen to our community moving forward. We appreciate our readership and look forward to providing you with our best work.
