Weather, roads look to be ideal over Thanksgiving

Safe Thanksgiving travels are expected, with no snowfall and clear roads anticipated throughout the Wyoming and Colorado areas.

Laramie forecasts clear skies tomorrow with a high of 57 and low of 30. Thursday looks to be partly cloudy with temperatures between 25 and 46. Friday projects partly cloudy skies with a high of 48 and a low of 30.

There is a 50 percent chance of snow on Monday in Laramie and the ski resort areas of Colorado. Fortunately, this falls after most students’ projected arrival back on campus.

Those who are traveling back to Laramie after Sunday should take caution. Interstate 80 and Interstate 25 in particular could be greatly affected by the projected snowfall Monday evening.

Popular ski resorts nearby including Steamboat Springs, Vail, Aspen, and Snowy Range forecast ideal skiing conditions between the low 20s and mid-40s.

For the ski areas, the coldest day over break will be on Thanksgiving Day, with lows in the high teens and 20s and highs in the low 40s.
