Flapjack-o-Lantern extravaganza

Are you going to Homecoming game? Do you plan to party on Saturday night? If you and your friends suddenly feel cravings for food right in the middle of the night, there is a great opportunity to enjoy free food!

Arrive between 12 a.m. and 3 a.m. Sunday morning to the Moose Lodge and enjoy hot and tasty pancakes, cooked by Student Media staff, and crispy bacon, provided by Washakie Dining Center.

“We are doing it as a part of Homecoming festival, and, also, to promote safe and responsible hanging out. You’ve been out partying, and this breakfast is the great opportunity for you to come in and have some pancakes, bacon, orange juice and coffee. It won’t cost you anything, everything is free,” Student Media supervisor, Cary Berry-Smith said.

“Flapjack-o-Lantern Extravaganza” is the pancake and bacon breakfast, sponsored by Student Media, Moose of Laramie, and UW Residence Life and Dining.

“We at Student Media, purchased all of the supplies. Residence life and dining are cooking bacon for us, and we will pick that up on Saturday,” Berry-Smith said. “My husband and Robin (Robin Lyons, New Media Coach) will be cooking pancakes.”

During the breakfast guests will have chance to donate money for the SAFE project, which is an organization that provides free and confidential support to victims of rape and abuse in different forms.

After enjoying the day of UW Homecoming events, stop in and sober up or fill up on free pancakes, bacon, and coffee.
