Allen shines at senior bowl

Josh Allen was named Most Outstanding Player for the North Team after completing 9 out of 13 of his passes for 158 yards and 2 touchdowns giving him a quarterback rating of 222.1. Following the game Allen said “Just Showing that I can come in to a system, learn it, play against really good competition and play my game.”

Allen went up against tope seniors from across the country and all players were hoping to impress college scouts. Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield was able to lead the North team to a field goal earlier in the game but it was Allen that led the only touchdown drives for the North team, both of which came in back to back drives in the third game.

Throughout the week leading up to the game Allen was able to display his talents to NFL Scouts and show why he belongs to be a top draft pick. A main criticism of Allen was that he is inaccurate with his passes since Allen had 56 percent completion rating this past season. In the game against tough competition Allen had a completion rating of 69 percent. Both of his touchdown passes were also nicely through touch passes complete in tight coverage, further display Allen’s ability to be accurate.

With many questioning the predictions of Allen going first overall in the NFL draft this game was a chance for Allen to prove he is worthy of all the hype.
