UWPD Activity Update, April 2-8: Residence halls stalking incident, hit and run

Last week, Monday, April 2 to Sunday, April 8, the University of Wyoming Police Department responded to several reported incidents around campus. The following information is taken from the daily activity reports on the UW Police Department’s website:

On Monday, April 2, three calls regarding a marijuana odor were reported at McIntyre Hall; officers were unable to locate where it originated. Also on Monday, packages were reported stolen from a warehouse; this is currently under investigation.

On Tuesday, April 3, faculty of Orr Hall reported a stalking incident; this is currently under investigation.

On Wednesday, April 4, there was a hit and run to a vehicle in the union parking lot; there are no suspects at this time. Also on Wednesday, a student in Downey Hall was arrested on a municipal warrant.

On Thursday, April 5, there was a report of a suspicious individual in the Geology Building; officers were unable to locate that individual. Also on Thursday, staff at the union reported two intoxicated individuals; this proved to be nothing criminal. Finally, the staff at White Hall reported an intoxicated individual on the eighth floor; the student was arrested for underage consumption of alcohol.

On Friday, April 6, a welfare check was conducted on a student in Orr Hall; the student was okay.

On Saturday, April 7, two students were cited for underage consumption of alcohol. Also on Saturday, the staff at Orr Hall reported an intoxicated individual; the student was cited for underage consumption of alcohol.

On Sunday, April 8, no incidents were reported.
