UW Police Activity April 16-22: Grass fires reported, students cited for fake ID

Last week, Monday, April 16 to Sunday, April 22, the University of Wyoming Police Department responded to several reported incidents around campus. The following information is taken from the daily activity reports on the UW Police Departments website.

On Monday, April 16, a student was cited for possession of a controlled substance at 15th and Grand Ave.

On Tuesday, April 17, a student was cited for possession of a controlled substance at 15th and Willett. Also on Tuesday, a student was arrested on a municipal warrant at Downey Hall.

On Thursday, April 19, a non-student was arrested for possession of a controlled substance at 15th and Ivinson. Also on Thursday, two small grass fires were reported; cigarettes caused the fires, but no suspects were found.

On Friday, April 20, a student was cited for using a fake ID. in Downey Hall. Also on Friday, a second student in Downey Hall was cited for using a fake ID, underage consumption of alcohol and interference. Lastly, police responded to a report of potential policy violations from the Hilton Convention Center; the case is currently under investigation.
