Cowgirl Volleyball faces tough road test.

The University of Wyoming Cowgirl volleyball team will face a tough road test against University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV) Running Rebels on Thursday at 7 p.m.

Wyoming currently sits tied for second place with CSU in the conference with a 6-2 conference record while UNLV is right behind them with a 5-3 conference record.

With the end of the season getting closer each game become more important if Wyoming hopes to win a conference title Currently Fresno State is leading the conference with a 6-1 record in conference play.

Wyoming is on a hot streak as they enter this road trip winning the last four in a row. During the last two game Tara Traphagan had 27 kills and 7 blocks to help the cowgirls defeat Utah State and Boise State. Reed Copeland has also remined consistent on defense for the Cowgirls as she ranks top nationally in both total block and blocks per set. As a team Wyoming leads the conference in blocks.

UNLV has also been playing well as they have won their last three games in a row. UNLV is being lead offensively by Mariena Hayden who leads the Mountain West conference with 350 kills on the year. She also leads the MWC in aces per set.

Wyoming is perfect at some so far this year, but their two conference losses have come on the road. Wyoming looks to continue their hot streak and maintain their position to capture a Mountain West title
