Make a splash and put on a smile in Boga Fit classes

Doing a workout on a floating board and falling off said board seems intimidating, but Boga Fit classes have made quite the splash in the pool and everyone’s heart that attends these classes.

Offering four different types of Boga Fit classes to suit everyone’s needs, the instructors not only make the class fun and physically enduring, they accommodate to each individual’s needs or struggles. Whether it be doing a completely separate workout or modifying a set move, the instructors work with each person to get the best workout they can get.

Boga Flow with Ashley features beginner to intermediate yoga moves and poses that challenges yoga masters to balance on a floating board and make yoga novices get out of their comfort zone. Even if the class is chaturanga heavy, Ashley tests her class’ balance by making them stay in poses that tests their balance, always including the warrior poses. If one is looking for a course that is fun to take every couple of weeks to get more flexible and gain more balance, Boga Flow is the one for them. Ashley’s classes are at 6:30 p.m. Mondays and Tuesdays and 7:40 p.m. on Thursdays.

Pilates instructor Amanda incorporates many moves that translate well from her Pilates class to the Boga board in her Boga Bootcamp class. Amanda literally screams with excitement and quirky jokes during her sessions and challenges people every step of the way with little to no break. She does an excellent job demonstrating her moves that are new to everyone, even people who go to the gym on the daily and doesn’t let the room be silent for one second. Individuals can see Amanda in the pool at 7:40 p.m. on Tuesdays for Boga Bootcamp.

The fan favorite Boga HIIT with Tom is a class that is very “all-levels friendly.” Tom goes through three waves, three times, with three different workouts for three minutes each with modifications as needed. Tom incorporates moves people are familiar with and adds new moves to test people’s balance and athleticism. His Thursday class specifically tests his students’ endurance and is a good cardio workout for all. Visit Tom at 7:40 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays and at 6:30 p.m. on Thursdays.

Boga Bootcamp with Maggie is for anyone looking for a workout to wake them up at 7:15 a.m. She sets up her class similar to Tom’s and stations different levels of “spiciness” for every level or workout people want or need. Being the master of Boga mixtapes, Maggie’s energy shines through in the early mornings with her classes being available Tuesdays and Thursdays bright and early.

Is Boga for everyone? Yes. Should everyone try Boga? Yes, yes and more yes. Boga is a class fit for literally anyone. It gives people a chance to not only try a new workout and get their heart rate up, but it gives them a chance to take a class that puts a smile on their face through the whole session.
