Welcome back

Hello everyone! Welcome back to the UW campus, I hope that your second day of class is going well, and that you aren’t too disappointed in the classes that you have to take! While everyone else was relaxing and getting ready for this Spring semester, the staff of the Branding Iron has been hard at work to improve our paper and make it the best that it can be.

This semester we’re looking to improve the paper by covering larger stories and by covering what is truly important to the students of the university. That being said, some of the things that truly affect the students on campus are what is going on within the campus itself. The board of trustees refuses to be transparent about what is happening with the presidential search, Dave True refuses to comment on almost anything, and the students have been left in the dark about their own futures in regards to the University.

The Branding Iron intends to change that.

We want to listen to the people that make the University of Wyoming great, those people being the students and staff. Our main change this semester is that we want to hear from you, our readers. If you have concerns about something on campus, we want to hear it.

We plan on introducing an advice column, more letters to the editor, volunteer/ hero spotlights, and more. In order to do this, however, we will need help from our audience. If you’re looking for advice, have suggestions for a story, have concerns on what is going on campus, or have someone in your life who is a real hero, send us an email at BI@uwyo.edu.

Good luck everyone and have a great day,

Calie.
