Tara Joyce, who was competing in her first ever collegiate swim meet, took first place in the 200-yard freestyle. Heidi Billings also took first in the 200-yard backstroke.

The Cowgirls also had a strong outing in diving, taking the top three slots in 1 meter diving and the top two slots in 3 meter diving. Alicia Gonzales shined in 1 meter diving, earning a final score of 283.58, just over 50 points ahead of second place.
