Fans drop their Arizona Bowl predictions before the game

As the excitement builds for the Arizona Bowl, Wyoming fans continue to make their presence known. Hours before the game, they dominate the population along the University of Arizona mall, enjoying food trucks, beer, and cornhole.

Ahead of the game it looks like it will be a close contest, but Wyoming fans think differently. “I think it will be Wyoming by 10,” said Nolan Fraser, who came from Moorcroft. “This is our third time here for the Arizona Bowl,” Fraser continued.

For some fans, they just want as much game time as  they can get. “Wyoming by 7 in overtime: bonus football,” joked one fan. “Although when we went to overtime last year it didn’t work out too well,” he said.

Wyoming fans think it all comes down to one player. “Bottom line is that if Peasley plays well we will win, if he doesn’t, we’ll lose,” said Steve Dornboss, who’s here with family from Alpine, Wyoming.

Whatever the score though, everyone just wants a win, especially for Craig Bohl. Currently 60-60 during his time at Wyoming, fans don’t want to send him off with a losing record. “Get him over .500,” said one Pokes fan.

Just a few hours before the event, the energy continues to build. No matter the outcome, the game will be an exciting end to a memorable season for Pokes fans.

The Arizona Bowl kicks off at 2:30 pm MT on The CW and Barstool TV.
