There is a space on campus where students can express their creativity, get materials for projects, or help supply their selected clubs. On the William Coe Library’s main floor, the Coe Student Innovation Center, commonly known as the “Makerspace,” is available to all students.

February 22, 1894: Coach Fred Hess leads out a roster of eleven men onto Prexy’s Pasture for the first-ever game of Wyoming Cowboy Football. The Pokes emerge victorious, defeating Cheyenne High School 14–0. Celebrations ensue, and football at 7220 feet in Laramie is born.

The University of Wyoming Cowgirl Tennis team has officially kicked off their season at the Jon Messick Invitational in Fort Collins on Sept 18–20. The tournament included four different flights—or subgroups of players within the tournament—of open women’s singles, and two flights of women’s doubles.

The soft lights of the Coe Library McMurry Reading Room cast an atmospheric glow across the rows of chairs lined up. After some technical difficulties, novelist Tom Lin took the stage. Lin is a winner of the Andrew Carnegie Medal for Excellence in Fiction. His latest book was published May of 2026.
