In a brief-yet-crucial inaugural meeting, the ASUW Student Body President and Vice President as well as the Senate candidates were revealed.
Elected in the presidential position was Paula Medina. Elected for the Vice President position was Aiden McGuire. All senate candidates who ran were also elected. The inaugural meeting lasted about ten minutes, with Senior Advisor for ASUW Maureen Disque explaining rank choice voting and the voting numbers in a brief power point presentation to the candidates. After revealing the newly elected officials, she also announced the elected senators. After the reveal, all members left.
Following the inaugural meeting will be the ASUW End of Year Banquet, a black-tie event taking place on Friday, May 2nd. At 5:30 P.M., there will be a cocktail hour at the Poke’s Pub in the Union, followed by a dinner and programming in the Union Family Room.
