The Results of this Year’s Midterms

Laramie WY- Tuesday November 3, Albany County had a voter turnout of around 13,000 people, which is an increase from 2022 midterms. Sophomore Joanna Robertson-Correa described the voting experience as “more organized and faster” compared to her experience in voting in the primary elections.
“They had a floater around redirecting the line, so it was more organized and easier for people to come into the building,” she said, “They had separate lines for people needing to register to vote and lines for people who already have. Despite it being mostly crowded, the process was fast and they had a lot of people helping to keep things calm and keep it going,” she said.
“I would say there were more people this time than the last time I voted. The experience was very good, and the people were very nice,” said Sam Jordan, another sophomore here at the University of Wyoming.
“I think we had about 6,700 voters for in person election day and around 4,900 early absentee voters, which is pretty good”, said Kayla White, Albany County clerk. “I think it went really smoothly. We had great election judges and great staff, and I just want to thank everyone who helped out,” she said.
