A UW student and commercial tour guide is missing in Grand Canyon National Park after a hike on Tuesday night.
Morgan Heimer, a 22-year-old native of Cody, was reported missing around 8 p.m. on Tuesday near Pumpkin Springs, Arizona. Heimer was in the process of guiding a commercial trip on the Colorado River. A member of the trip reported him missing.
Heimer, a UW English major during the last spring semester, is not enrolled for the upcoming fall semester.
Park officials said Heimer was last seen with a water bottle and a personal flotation device, according to an AP story.
