UW Police update March 12-18, 2018: Stolen bicycle recovered, suspicious messages called in

Last week, Monday, March 12 to Sunday, March 18, the University of Wyoming Police Department responded to several reported incidents around campus. The following information is taken from the daily activity reports on the UW Police Department’s website.

On Monday, March 12 a report of suspicious messages was called in; this is currently under investigation.

On Tuesday, March 13 prescription drugs were found in the lost and found items.

On Wednesday, March 14 a non-student was arrested for driving under the influence on the 800 block of Clark Street. Also on Wednesday, a bicycle that was reported stolen on Sept. 18, 2017, was recovered and returned to its owner.

On Thursday, March 15 a bicycle that was reported stolen on Sept. 20, 2017, was recovered and returned to its owner.

On Saturday, March 17 an anonymous tip was forwarded to the Laramie Police Department.

On Sunday, March 18 a student reported a stolen bicycle at the Classroom Building; there are currently no suspects. Also on Sunday, an individual captured and transported a dog from the campus area to the local animal shelter.
