Laramie’s most rejuvenating breakfast restaurants

With the Jubilee Days recovery period in our midst, I spent some time thinking about the best places to get a nice, revitalizing breakfast in town. Thankfully, Laramie is home to multiple local breakfast places with some truly delicious dishes.

I’ve composed a list of my 5 favorite breakfast restaurants, all of which have quality service, are affordable and provide amazing meals. Whether you’re a longtime local or brand new to the town, these places are sure to make a positive impression.

5 – Bagelmakers

Located next to Qdoba on 3rd Street, this restaurant offers delicious bagel sandwiches and a variety of drinks. The service is very fast, so it has always been one of my favorite places to get breakfast.

It’s a great option for students who want to grab a bite to eat before heading to class. Between the fresh bagels and tasty coffee, this place is sure to turn a rough morning into a great one.

4 – Turtle Rock Café

I absolutely love this place. The coffee is amazing and with the variety of sandwiches, you can try a new one every time. If you’re a student returning to campus after a long weekend, fear not – Turtle Rock is here to save you.

It’s located right across from the Classroom Building and the service is super quick, making it the perfect coffee/breakfast joint for the college kids.

3 – C K Chuck Wagon

This local favorite has some very hearty dishes that will definitely improve a bleak Monday morning. There are so many breakfast options here, ranging from huevos rancheros to a variety of omelets and benedicts to chicken and waffles.

I truly think I could eat the Chuckwagon’s avocado benedict every day and not get sick of it.

2 – 17th Street Café

Where do I even begin with this amazing restaurant? 17th Street Café has never once disappointed me. The breakfast here is so delicious that you can eat it at any time of the day.

My personal favorite is the breakfast tower, a wonderful cheesy creation with hash browns, biscuits, gravy and sausage. If you’re in desperate need of a rejuvenating breakfast, trust me, this place will do the trick.

1 – J’s Prairie Rose

It was a very close call between Prairie Rose and 17th Street for the #1 spot, but I truly owe so much of my college experience in Laramie to this restaurant. Their breakfast burritos have saved me more times than I can count.

I also have to give recognition to their giant cinnamon rolls, which are a must-have if you’re eating here. No matter how bad your morning is (even after Homecoming weekend or Border Wars), Prairie Rose will come to the rescue.

I hope all my fellow breakfast lovers who are new to Laramie take some time to check these wonderful restaurants out. There is nothing more reviving than starting your morning with a local, hearty meal.
