The University of Wyoming Rodeo Team has enjoyed a strong season so far, and Head Coach Seth Glause credits the team’s success to leadership, hard work, and a commitment to excellence both in and out of the arena.
At the halfway mark of the 2025-26 season, the Cowgirls are the No. 3 team nationally in total points with 1,875, trailing only Cal Poly State University (2,125.5), in San Luis Obispo, Calif.; and Blue Mountain Community College (2,012), in Pendleton, Ore.
For Glause, success starts in the classroom.
“The biggest focus has been maintaining a 3.0 GPA and leave here with a meaningful degree, winning a regional title and compete for national titles.” Said Glause
While competitive success remains a priority, Glause emphasizes that developing student-athletes who are prepared for life after college is just as important as winning rodeos.
“I have been most impressed with senior leadership as we have a younger team, the camaraderie has been nice to see. The freshmen have been very impressed with coming in and making an immediate impact.” Said Glause
The spring CRMR season picks up in March at the Gillette College rodeo. Both UW teams lead the region in their respective divisions. With a roster that features both experienced upperclassmen and talented newcomers, the Cowboys have built a strong foundation that has allowed them to remain competitive throughout the season. Glause believes that success is earned through consistent effort, a message he reinforces daily with his athletes.
